Fun tip: Tree cookie keepsake
Save the "cookie" you cut from the bottom of your tree! Decorate it with the year, a picture, or a story of your year and hang it on your tree. Then watch the family memories add up over the years. It's a great keepsake to look back on.
Fun fact:
it takes 7-10 years to grow our trees. Some of the tall ones take even longer to grow.
Test for freshness
To test for freshness, take a branch and lightly run your fingers down it. Only a few needles should fall off. Important: Do not tug hard on the branches; tugging hard on any tree will make a handful of needles fall off.
